VoxBox, Inc. was launched in early 2017 with a single project, Memria.Org, a mission-driven social enterprise aimed at helping nonprofit organizations like libraries, museums, and truth and reconciliation commissions harness the power of community storytelling, oral history, and audio testimonials to help achieve their social missions. By building software, providing services, and managing large projects such as VivaVoz.org in Colombia, Memria has helped these organizations collect and share thousands of stories worldwide.
In 2023, VoxBox teamed up with two partners -- Thoughtlight and Invisible Giants -- to conceptualize and launch a new business focused on personal memory. This became MindStory, an app that helps users to collect and reflect on personal memories. It is partially owned by Invisible Giants. As of January 1st, 2025, the app is in development.
